Operations Coordinator

Position Overview:
The food safety program involves auditing functions in several sub-sectors in the food industry, such as produce, meat and poultry, seafood, etc. Some programs are also based on the ISO/IEC requirements. The operations coordinator will be involved in managing the ISO certification program such as SQF and other auditing programs in the Food and Ag Dept.
Responsibilities:
- Managing all the procedures applicable to the ISO/IEC accredited program(s) and other programs in the food safety auditing dept.
- Editing or preparing new procedures according to ISO/IEC requirements to ensure that the program(s) is fully incompliance.
- Overseeing all aspects of the processing of applications for certification and overseeing the administrative functions.
- Reviewing audit reports.
- Reviewing and closing files of clients
- Assisting in policy and procedure development
- Scheduling audits
- Undertake general developmental tasks
- Work with the SCS Quality Assurance Program Manager on ISO certification process
- Monitor compliance with accreditation requirements
- Stay current with updates in technology and industry regulations
- Maintain a positive working relationship with clients
Qualifications:
- BS in English or Agricultural/Food Science related field
- Prior specific experience in the ISO certification process
- Superior English writing and Quality Assurance skills
- Have prior work experience in agricultural, food science related industries, in a quality assurance related position
- Be able to work under minimal supervision as well as part of a team
- Demonstrated strong attention to detail
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook)
- Must be proactive, resourceful, and professional
