Position Overview:
In this role you will perform a variety of functions in support of the Senior VP Finance and Accounting department. This is a Finance/Accounting hybrid role responsible for financial analysis of existing companies, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, journal entries and account reconciliation. This position is also responsible for process improvements and financial reporting of business information used to support management decisions.
Qualifications:
Candida te must possess Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting or related field. CPA/MBA desired. 8+ years accounting experience or 5 years experience with CPA/MBA. Experience in public accounting a plus. 3-5 years experience working with challenging projects analyzing financial data and interpreting results.
Experience with accounting systems and expertise in creating financial reports required. Experience working in a multiple company/ entity environment. Familiarity with tax law and experience with income tax preparation and planning for profit and non-profit entities desired. Database proficiency. Outstanding communication skills, both written and oral, including demonstrated presentation skills, effective interpersonal and team skills, and effective project management skills.
Must be able to work independently and use own judgment/discretion. Computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft suite of software. Ability to work with and understand a variety of people who have different needs and different levels of understanding of our business. Proven ability to influence and build effective working relationships with customers, peers, stakeholders, and community officials in order to ensure quality and timely delivery of energy.
