Responsibilities:
Quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC), using statistical methods, software, etc., of field collection activities, sample handling, laboratory analysis , and risk assessment for groundwater, surface water, soil, and air samples for CERCLA sites.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in natural sciences or engineering or a related study program is a must and a doctoral degree in natural sciences, toxicology, risk assessment, epidemiology, or engineering is preferred. Knowledge of the US EPA CERCLA program is a must. Experience in regulatory interpretation as well as regulation drafting/policy making is necessary.
Also, the successful candidate will have the ability to devise alternative sampling, testing, and analysis techniques, if required. Must have some hands-on experience in sampling groundwater, surface water, soil, and air and experience in managing projects involving these sampling techniques. Also, the successful candidate will have the ability to devise alternative sampling, testing, and analysis techniques, if required.
The successful candidate will be adept at presentation preparation, technical report writing, and public speaking.
