Pacific Rim International School in San Mateo, CA is seeking a part-time science specialist (with growth potential) for the middle school and the elementary program.

Qualifications:

Candidates must have the ability to use an integrated, hands-on, inquiry-based approach.  They will also possess excellent skills in communication, organization, classroom management and teamwork.  In addition, candidates must have a strong foundation in biology, chemistry, and earth science.

As the program includes a close partnership with a local sustainable farm (through weekly field trips), the position is particularly suited for those with a background in ecology and environmental science. An interest in Montessori philosophy and in the International Baccalaureate are a plus.
