Southwest Regional Director

Position Overview:
PECI is seeking a proven executive level business leader who will strategically steer a successful team's continued development and achievement into a significant regional market leader. The right person will have extensive experience managing and growing a consulting organization, with a proven ability to drive the identification and management of new products and programs, manage key industry partnerships, negotiate multi-year contracts, and manage senior client relationships while being fully responsible for the regional operation's business strategy and financial performance. This position requires extensive experience in business management and strategy development as well as providing mentorship and guidance to staff members.
The ideal candidate will have a demonstrated track record in the energy efficiency with a strong hands-on operational and consulting background, with an ability to manage the details and build relationships throughout the industry. The Regional Director will also build and strengthen senior relationships with regional clients engaging on issues of strategic direction, quality assurance and resource allocation. This position provides a distinct opportunity to apply proven leadership experience in an organization that is on the forefront of the energy efficiency movement.
The Regional Director will manage the Southwest Region and work out of the Portland headquarters office.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and lead implementation of business plans to meet and exceed regional and corporate goals including revenue generation and growth
- Provide strategic and business vision for region and provide tactical expertise ensuring business objectives are defined, communicated and measured for success
- Ensure that the regional organization is flexible to adapt to changing market conditions
- Develop, track and report business metrics to accurately assess regional performance, growth, productivity, strategic effectiveness and financial performance
- Direct, develop and motivate employees including evaluation and development to shore up succession planning, enhancing management capabilities to meet strategic and operating objectives
- Work closely with major clients, key alliance partners and PECI leadership to foster an environment of best practices that are continually being reviewed and improved. Work with all stakeholders to achieve prompt resolution to pressing business issues that could impact quality, service and operations
- Play an active leadership role in the company and in the energy efficiency community. Promote a culture of active communication, adaptability, initiative, client/customer focus, innovation, and results orientation
- Represent the company as an effective industry leader and champion for energy efficiency at professional association meetings, conferences and other industry and non-industry events
Qualifications:
- Requires 4-year college degree and a minimum 8 years energy efficiency industry experience or equivalent. Master's degree preferred
- Strong experience managing consulting and program implementation projects with both public and private sector clients, including providing quality control and budget accountability
- Prefer experience in multiple energy efficiency sectors including; residential, commercial, industrial, and product development
- Demonstrated experience in a high level leadership role managing a regional operations team in a matrixed environment
- Experience leading, developing and motivating employees and generating results through the individual and collective team efforts
- Ability to set and clearly articulate goals and priorities and exhibit a high level of energy and drive to achieve results
- Exemplary client relationship and interpersonal skills including strong proficiency in written and oral communications
- Achievement in negotiating and managing large contracts, developing key client relationship, business development and staff/resource management
- Proven effective organizational skills including systematic approach to process and delivery and ability to track, analyze and document results
