Vice President/Chief Operating Officer

Position Overview:
SBC seeks a Vice President and Chief Operating Officer to take primary responsibility for the day-to-day management of the organizations programmatic implementation and financial systems.
The Vice-President/Chief Operating Officer is a full-time, salaried position that reports to the President and is responsible for business and financial administration of the Sierra Business Council.

Qualifications:
- Demonstrated commitment to the mission, goals, and values of the Sierra Business Council.
- Background in business management, consulting, accounting, and/or operations with 10+ year's experience. MBA preferred but not required.
- Experience managing people and running organizations including negotiating and administering contracts.
- Basic understanding of QuickBooks and Microsoft Office programs. Experience with Project Management software a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with an ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in the absence of specific instructions.
- Excellent communication skills.
- History of communicating clearly and building rapport and constructive relationships with staff, board of directors, clients, and the general public.
- A strong desire for results - commitment to making things happen even with limited resources.
- Strong attention to detail and confidentiality.
