Position Overview:

Adura Technologies is looking for a talented and well experienced QA Manager to lead our Software and Embedded Systems Quality Assurance team.

• The successful applicant will manage the department and overall expectations pertaining to setting accurate schedules, costs and resources, ensuring delivery against QA department goals and objectives, meeting commitments and coordinating overall quality assurance schedule.
• The successful candidate provides necessary definition, development and deployment of product quality assurance strategy, addressing all phases of product development.
• The QA Manager directly supervises quality assurance engineers and testers including the preparation and delivery of staff performance evaluations and career development activities.
• The successful candidate will review and take ownership of the design and development of our Ruby based automated testing framework for reliability and scalability.
• Primary responsibilities will include architecting our automated test framework to test our full suite of products. These include a mix of embedded devices written in C, Windows desktop applications and enterprise energy management software developed in a variety of languages, and web applications written in PHP and AJAX.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years experience managing teams to develop test frameworks, embedded systems, and/or enterprise software.
• 5+ years experience developing test tools and frameworks, specifically focused on software QA and automated testing
• Experience with networked/wireless and embedded systems testing is a must.
• Strong experience developing with common Ruby tools and libraries such as Test::Unit, TestRunner, and Rake, is a must.
• Experience with agile development practices and associated software tools, such as Rally, CruiseControl, Ant, Make, SVN, Bugzilla, JIRA, etc
• 5+ years experience in Object-Oriented design and implementation
• Expertise in Open Source unit, functional and integration testing tools
• Expertise in automated web UI testing
• BS or MS in Computer Science or related degree
• Desire to be part of a fast growing cleantech company
• Ability to work with and improve existing code and architect a broader automated test framework
• Able to handle multiple assignments at once

Desired Skills:

• Familiarity with MANET and/or large scale mesh-network design and protocols
• Experience with RF communication principles
• Experience with 120VAC/277VAC mains power management
• Familiarity with building automation and lighting controls
