Position Overview:

• Provide up to date performance and reliability metrics to upper management and product marketing.
• Provide product improvement feedback to Design Engineering.
• Write test procedures, test plans, and test reports.
• Utilize automated control software to collect and analyze data.
• Perform failure analysis and recommend corrective actions.
• Oversee operation, maintenance and repair of all lab instrumentation.
• Determine specifications for new lab equipment and work with vendors to procure.

Qualifications:

• Strong Materials Science background - preferably at high temperatures (1000C+) in a vacuum environment.
• Strong logical and analytical skills.
• Understanding of Mechanical design and manufacturing practices.
• Understanding of vacuum practices.
• Microsoft Office, SAP, Microsoft Project and Solidworks preferred but not required.
• 5+ years experience, preferably in materials test.
• BS in Mechanical Engineering or Materials Science.
