Renewable Energy Lead Technician

Position Overview: 

The primary functions of this job is the inspection, maintenance, testing and repair of collector systems, substations and transmission lines on multiple wind farms in Iowa, Minnesota and Wisconsin and corresponding duties with Energis High Voltage Resources Inc.

The candidate will interact with company employees, community and business contacts. The candidate will have good teamwork, communication, training and exchange of information, as well as a professional image of Energis High Voltage Resources to individuals within and outside the company.

Responsibilities:

  • Inspection, maintain, testing and repair of overhead transmission lines.
  • Inspection, maintain, testing and repair of underground conductors.
  • Inspection, maintain, testing and repair of Padmount transformers.
  • Inspection, maintain, testing and repair of substation equipment.
  • Perform switching operation.
  • Tree trimming.
  • Other miscellaneous duties.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma.
  • Technical College Line Electrician Degree or equivalent.
  • Journeyman certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communications, team player, training and exchange of information, as well as a professional image of Energis High Voltage Resources, Inc. to individual both inside and outside to company.
  • Valid CDL.
