Position Overview:
RLF seeks a full-time Director of Finance to oversee internal financial management. This exempt position reports to the Executive Director. The Director of Finance is responsible for managing financial plans and organizational budgets; investments; business and accounting policies and practices; and internal and external financial reporting. The Director of Finance also assists the Executive Director with legal activities and documents, and supports and advises the Executive Director in decision making.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field and 5 years of financial management and business administration experience required. Graduate degree preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Candidates must possess demonstrated experience in financial planning and analysis in a nonprofit organization. This position requires an understanding of the non-profit environment and sensitivity to protocol among donors, grantees, and other related parties. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to partner with a dynamic leadership team required. Candidates must possess the ability to exercise tact, diplomacy, sound judgment, and discretion. Attention to detail and outstanding writing skills are necessary.
