VP of Project Engineering, Solar Energy

Do you have 4+ years of experience performing design and permitting activities with a solar electric installation company on commercial scale installations?

What you need:

* Ability and maturity tomanage growth within a fast-paced, start-up environment.
* Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering. (A Mechanical Engineering degree may be acceptable)
*4+ years experience performing design and permitting activities with a solar electric installation company on commercial scale installations. (Additional experience performing design and permitting activities with an electrical engineering company is a plus.)
* 3+ years of AutoCAD experience
* Strong organizational skills to manage the activities required in the design and permitting of large-scale solar PV systems.
* Occasional travel (15 to 20%) to attend site qualification visits and to provide design support during system permitting, construction and inspection.
* Professional Electrical Engineering license and state electrical contractor's license highly desirable.
* Experience designing with medium voltage equipment would be a valuable asset for this position.
* Experience working in the construction industry would be a valuable asset for this position.

What you'll be doing:

As part of the senior management team, the Vice President ofProject Engineering will be responsible for managing the design and permittingof large-scale (100+ kW) solar PV systems.

* Performing site qualificationvisits, making cost-effective technology selections, developing electrical andstructural system designs, developing the necessary design drawing sets,overseeing the permitting and interconnection processes and supporting the procurementprocess.
