Senior Offshore Engineer (Wind)
Netherlands
A global player in the wind energy industry is seeking a senior offshore engineer to manage technical projects and ongoing relationships with customers and partners in the Netherlands’ Offshore Wind sector. The Senior Engineer will lead a team of Offshore Engineers and be the first point of contact for new and existing customers/partnerships in the Netherlands.
The lead role will involve technical leadership of complex offshore engineering projects and problem solving with a hands-on approach and attitude towards the work, as well as contract negotiation and management. The ability to build strong professional relationships, and excellent presentation skills, are a fundamental piece to this role.
What you need to be able to demonstrate:
- Degree Qualified, ideally to MSc level in a relevant engineering discipline (eg. mechanical, civil or electrical)
- Have significant experience in offshore wind energy and other areas of offshore engineering
- A technical focus and the desire to remain hands-on
- The ability to analyse and prepare technical reports
- Previous experience of supervising staff (preferable, not essential)
- Be flexible on work location, willing to travel and work in the UK when required
- Fluent in Dutch and English
