Sales/Account Manager

Job Description :

This individual will be responsible for managing the evaluation and diligence for new opportunities in Germany for direct and indirect customers. This position will report to VP EMEA and Managing Director Solyndra GmbH, and work within established processes to communicate with the numerous departments necessary to support customer engagements. The Sales/Account Manager position is responsible for identifying the most appropriate customer opportunities that will show case the company’s product as well as maximizing revenue and margin opportunities. Travel is expected and required as needed by project location and scope.

This individual is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Developing and creating customer opportunities with targeted customers that meet the timing, revenue and margin requirements of the company
  • Responsible for maintaining constant communication with key members of the Sales organization and other departments.
  • Site visits and meetings to support opportunities as required by level of difficulty or scope. 
  • Performs site diligence and documents items of concern or need for further validation.
  • Manage the sales request process for all project types and work within guidelines.
  • Attend weekly meetings and respond to fast pace of design validation as required.
  • Prepare any necessary customer deliverables, Clearly communicate design concept and high level system specifications.
  • Work with other departments to provide best estimating and modeling information.


Job Requirements : 

  • A Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is preferred.
  • Experience with an energy based company, Photovoltaic company or semiconductor company.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage the actions required for the coordination of activities in support of customer requirements.
  • International Sales/Account Management experience is a must.
  • English language skills are mandatory, additional languages is a plus
  • Good working knowledge of MS Office programs, specifically Word, Excel and Powerpoint
