Job description

This successful utility subsidiary boasts expertise that covers all aspects of energy projects. Due to ambitious climate change targets, the organisation has increased its investment in the renewables division and has in place a structured renewable energy strategy. My client is looking for a Senior Wind Analyst, based in Dublin to help drive this part of the company forward.

Joining this team you will work on immediate client needs. Working both nationally and internationally, you will be responsible for all aspects of wind projects; areas of focus will include:

• Utilisation of wind analysis software packages
• Recommendation of WTG selection for wind farm site
• Wind farm layout and optimisation
• Preparation of and review of energy yield reports
• Collating validation and analysis of wind resource and meteorically data
• Modelling
• Auditing

The successful candidate will have a high level of skill in wind analysis and energy yield prediction. An ability to balance attention to detail with engineering judgement, you will be educated in engineering / physics / science to degree (or equivalent) level and you will have excellent analytical and IT skills. This wind analyst position will require you to not only be able to communicate clearly with to other specialists and clients, but also work as part of a team to develop core knowledge.
